Common questions

How do I start a tag?

Tap the plus button on the dashboard, or open the sample tag from the empty state to see a completed one first. Every tag gets a sequential number (T-001, T-002) so you can refer to it later.

How are totals calculated?

Labor is hours × rate, with overtime kept as a separate line at its own rate. Materials are quantity × unit cost. Equipment is hours × rate. Markup, if you set one, applies to materials and equipment only — the way most time-and-materials clauses price it.

Where are my tags stored?

On your iPhone. ChangeProof has no account, no login and no server. Nothing is uploaded. If you delete the app, the tags go with it, so export the PDFs you need to keep.

Does it work without signal?

Yes. Everything — photos, signatures, totals and PDF export — works fully offline.

What does the purchase include?

Single PDF Export unlocks one PDF export. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

I did not get a receipt / the purchase did not go through

Purchases are handled by Apple. Check your email for an Apple receipt, and see Apple Support for refunds and billing questions. If the export did not unlock after a successful purchase, email us and we will help.
